About
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’ve always been motivated by the pursuit of the unusual and intrigued by social advocacy. Curious and constantly writing from a young age, I was drawn to journalism by the desire to participate in the bedrock of democracy and satisfy a voracious appetite for information.
Ever since, I’ve been making the rounds through local newspapers, magazines, and online media in hopes of further entrenching myself in Bay Area news. I currently write for and edit two hyper-local news websites – San Ramon Express and Danville Express – as well as Views magazine, all of which focus on news and events in Contra Costa County.
I began volunteering at KUSF, 90.3fm in 2007 and hosted a late-night radio show, Fly By Night with Terry Dactyl, until the station was shut down in January 2011. You can still catch me spinning gut-busting blues, freaky deaky funk and sweet soul music on KUSF in Exile’s Soul Shakedown from 10 p.m. till midnight every other Sunday.
There’s more to come, so in the meantime don’t touch that dial and keep on rockin’ in the free world.
